The season is coming to an end for our youngest riders, too

On the last day of the course, the kids had another surprise in store for the coaches…

They wanted to get together one last time with all the participants of the 2026 MTB children’s course. So the children’s coaches, Lukas Nagler, Paul Marschall and Andreas Pichler, invited all the children and their parents to join them for a mountain bike ride in the Montiggler Forest, followed by ice cream at the restaurant at Camping Montiggl.

The weather was autumnal and relatively pleasant. Everyone met on the afternoon of Saturday 24 October at the very spot where the course had been held throughout the summer: the car park of the Rungg sports centre in Montiggl. From there, the large group cycled through the various training stations that the kids had been practising since the start of the season. This time, they were accompanied by their parents, who also gave the exercises a go.

After nearly two hours of cycling around, it was time for the ‘grand finale’ – ice cream for the children and coffee for the parents and coaches.
As we said our goodbyes before the winter break, there was a surprise: the kids presented a wooden sculpture in the shape of a mountain bike, accompanied by a loud “THANK YOU”... What a wonderful memento for the coaches!
