The Climbing Challenge on Strava

13 - 23/9/2026

1st Jaufenpass Challenge 2026: The Climbing Challenge on Strava

As is well known, this year’s edition of the m2bike Trophy did not take place.
Instead, the lads from the Sterzing Polisportiva AVI Bike Team launched the Jaufenpass Challenge: between 13 and 23 September 2026, every cycle ride recorded on Strava from Gasteig to the Jaufen Pass the Strava segment “Jaufenpass (Passo Giovo)” was used for scoring. Afterwards, each participant had to send a screenshot by email to the organiser.

Our newly crowned club champion, Manuela Beer, wasn’t about to let this opportunity slip by. Shortly before her planned holiday, a road cycling tour was organised for Wednesday (the final day of the Challenge). And on the climb up to the Jaufen Pass, things got really tough again: with an average power output of 218 W and a speed of 14.4 km/h, Manuela took just over an hour to reach the top of the pass. And with this time, she clinched victory in the Challenge.
