Unexpected success for the Eppan Enduro Crew

20/9/2026

WWilly Stricker took second place and thus the title of Italian runner-up in the Masters 6 category – a fantastic team result despite a mishap

The highlight of the season for our enduro riders – the national championships – took place last weekend, 19 and 20 September 2026, in Lizzano di Belvedere (BO) in Emilia-Romagna.

Alongside Daniel Cavosi and Karim Pastore (both in the Open category), our lads Benjamin Kuhn (Allievo 2) and Emil Ploner (Junior), as well as veteran Willy Stricker (Master 6), were also on the starting line. The course was very technical and selective, and absolutely worthy of a championship: across the four stages, the riders had to cover a total of 35 kilometres and more than 2,000 metres of elevation gain.

Due to a mishap, Benjamin didn’t make it to the start in time, so for him the race was over before he even reached the starting line. Emil put in a very solid performance in his first Italian Championship, finishing 34th in the very large Junior category. Daniel and Karim also faced strong competition in the Open category, finishing in 30th place (Daniel) and 40th place (Karim).

Willy had a perfect day and, in a complete surprise, took second place in the Masters 6 category, thereby securing the title of Italian Vice-Champion!
