Paganella Bike 1999 in Andalo

The second race of the five-part Rampitour 1999 started in Andalo on 30 May.
1,600 bikers were at the start, including U23 world champion Miguel Martinez and Olympic champion Paola Pezzo.
Over a distance of 41 km, the riders had to overcome 1,300 metres in altitude. Good physical condition was required, very steep climbs and fast downhills demanded all the riders' skills.
Our team was also well represented: 14 bikers were at the start. All of them fared more or less well.
It was an honour for Antonio Anglani to start alongside Martinez and Pezzo. Unfortunately, he soon lost sight of them. The fast descents suited Huber Gerhard very well, but he was stopped by a flat tyre.
The two brothers Walter and Heinrich Prossliner were also able to deliver a good race and proved their good form.
Our amateur riders also fought like pros and achieved very good results.

And this is how it looked for our best riders at the end:

124. Prossliner Heinrich  2h17
187. Ebner Andreas  2h24
232. Giovanazzi Martin  2h27
253. Morandell Werner  2h28
267. Prossliner Walter  2h30
275. Schrentewein Andreas  2h30
