Eppan Sports Award 2022

 

The municipality of Eppan holds an award for its deserving sportsmen and sportswomen, athletes and officials every two years. The award is based on sporting achievements in the two previous years; the achievements must be in a championship announced by the CONI professional association.

After the last event was cancelled 2 years ago due to the panedemic, the event was held again this year. The ceremony took place on Friday 21 October 2022 at 7 pm in the cultural hall in St. Michael/Eppan.

The Dynamic Bike Team from Eppan also invited athletes who have been successful on the national and international stage in the last 3 years.
This was once again Richard Palma, whose outstanding performance was his runner-up in the Italian Mediofondo 2021 and his 3rd place in the UCI European Championships in the same year (Master 8 category).
Our Enduro rider Willy Stricker also made an impression in 2020 with his 3rd place in the MTB Enduro Italy Championship.

We congratulate both of them and wish them a long and successful sporting - and above all injury-free - career!
