Extreme Race Punta Veleno

10/9/2011

The name of the route actually says it all:
it is considered one of the most toxic and brutal climbs, with 1,081 metres of altitude over a length of 10.4 km. And between the 2nd and 8th kilometre with an average gradient of 14.6% and ramps up to 20%! And despite this, or precisely because of it, numerous "crazies" venture to the start every year - including some from the Dynamic Bike Team.

And how could it be otherwise: they left a very strong impression with 3 racers among the top 15!
Richard Palma as winner of the category S-Gentleman (0:53.25 h, 13th place overall), and Werner Morandell (0:52.02 h, 9th place overall) and Reinhard Sanin (0:53.58 h, 15th place overall) on place 2 and 3 of the category Senior. Paul Pichler unfortunately dropped back due to technical problems and finished 43rd (1:06.45 h) out of 64 racers. But there was still a lot of celebrating afterwards!
