Beat Hauser - "1 million metres in elevation" project: august 2010

3/8/2010

Beat Hauser from Passeiertal Valley wants to climb a whole 1 million metres of altitude on his racing bike this year

That's the equivalent of 2,740 metres of elevation per calendar day! And at the moment things are looking good for the record attempt.

As of today (03/08/2010), Beat, who lives in St. Leonhard, has already climbed an incredible 771,475 metres in elevation - that's an average of 3,605 metres in altitude every single day from 1 January 2010 until today.
On Beat Hauser's homepage you can see exactly how many metres in altitude he climbs every day (update: unfortunately the homepage is no longer online).
