Werner Weiss and Manfred Steiner leave the Bike Club Überetsch

As in Formula 1 and in many other sports, the transfer merry-go-round in mountain biking is also in full swing.
Our club has not been spared the machinations of the team managers of competing clubs, so that a team from the Pustertal Valley has succeeded in enticing away two of our strongest riders with a tempting offer.
With Werner Weiss and Manfred Steiner, two athletes are leaving us who can certainly be trusted with top performances in mountain biking in the future. Especially Manfred, who is only 16 years old, showed a potential last season that amazed the experts. The competition was also impressed by the explosion in Werner Weiss' performance, which is mainly due to his ambition and the many kilometres he has trained, so that the good offers from other clubs were not long in coming. Not only that, we have also lost our president in the person of Werner Weiss. Stefan Andergassen, who has been acting as vice-president until now, will take his place.
Since we are not in a position to keep up with the offers of the competition anyway, we have to let both of them go with a heavy heart. Of course we wish Manfred and Werner all the best for their sporting careers and above all an injury-free season, in the hope that they will have fond memories of the club in which they made their first "steps".
Toi Toi Toi

The Bikeclub Team would like to take this opportunity to wish all its members a happy new year and many kilometres, especially without crashes.
