MTB race in Madrano near Pergine (TN)

Three of our mountain bikers took part in the 1st Top Race of the season last Sunday 28th March 1993 in Madrano near Pergine (TN).
A varied course of 12 kilometres had to be circumnavigated three times by the seniors and twice by the juniors, women and veterans. Johann Telfner and Francesco Todesco were not spared by the puncture devil. The former reached the finish after two punctures, having to push his bike a good third of the distance. Todesco, on the other hand, also had no repair kit with him after a flat tyre and had to give up. Albert Rinner celebrated a clear victory after his strongest competitor Silvano Janes, like many others on the day, was forced to retire due to a puncture.
Next Sunday, our mountain bikers will be taking a break, but the road riders will be pedalling: near Tramin, they will be taking part in a circuit race that counts towards the UDACE-CSAIN championship. We wish them good luck.
