1st Mountain Bike Cup of Kaltern 1992

On Saturday 23 May, the 2nd bike exhibition took place on the market square.
Three exhibitors: Sport Clazzer, Velo Sport and Sanvit presented mountain bikes, racing bikes, cycling accessories and cycling clothing to the numerous interested visitors.

The highlight followed in the afternoon when the 1st Mountain Bike Cup of Kaltern, organised by the BIke-Club Überetsch, started with 40 participants.
This mountain bike race took place on a circuit through Kaltern, which had to be completed 15 times. The spectators were treated to an interesting race. The eventual winner, Giancarlo Bettin, took the lead right from the start and never relinquished it. However, the battle for the next places was exciting. The riders had special praise for the organisers of the race, the Überetsch Bike Club, who, with the help of the local council, the local police and the volunteer fire brigade, managed to run the race without incident.
