Philip Götsch delivers a dominant performance at MendelRace 2025

In an impressive new record time of 36.29.3 minutes, Philip Götsch (Fontanari.it) repeated his previous year's success on the Mendel Pass. In a duel at eye level, he distanced Franz Wieser from Val Badia (Rodes Val Badia Raiffeisen), winner of the 2023 edition, by just under 4 seconds at the finish.
Behind the two South Tyroleans, last year's runner-up and reigning Austrian national champion Rene Pammer finished in 3rd place, followed by compatriot and team-mate Christian Oberngruber in 4th place (both next125 Hackl Lebensräume).
On the other hand, there was a start-to-finish victory in the women's race, where Austrian mountain biker Julia Sörgel (Team Auto Brosch), already winner of the Edelrot Trophy 2024 on the Gampenpass, prevailed against another strong Sarner Carmen Moser (ASC Sarntal Raiffeisen Rad) and Evi Gudelius (SSCX Jachenau) from Germany.
