UCI EDR World Cup 2025 - last dance in Morillon (FRA)

This year, the final round of the UCI MTB Enduro World Cup took place in Morillon, a small French municipality (population 650) in the Haute-Savoie department near the Italian border.
For this final stage at the foot of Mont Blanc, 120 of the best gravity riders gathered to take part in the Enduro World Cup: a long and intense weekend awaited them, with a total of 9 stages to ride. The figures were impressive: a total of 80 kilometres and almost 5,000 metres of elevation gain, spread over Saturday and Sunday, had to be conquered... with the chairlift only allowed to be used on two climbs. The open race for e-bikers was slightly shorter, with four stages on one day (Saturday).

Daniel Cavosi and Marc Theiner arrived on Wednesday to familiarise themselves with the course: training runs were scheduled for Thursday and Friday. The first day of training was rainy, but on the second day the sun came out and it began to dry up – but it remained slippery and challenging.

The tension rose on the first day of racing on Saturday: Marc had to compete in a total of four stages in the Open category of the e-bikers, while Daniel had two full days of racing with a total of nine stages ahead of him. Both enduro bikers performed well in the international field and fought their way down the descents with total commitment.
For Marc, his performance on the international course ended with a very pleasing result: he reached the podium and finished in an excellent third place!
Daniel achieved his goal of finishing in the top 100  with an improved performance on the second day, finishing in 99th place, which also earned him valuable UCI points for the overall standings.

All in all, it was a successful long enduro weekend in France!
