HERO Südtirol Dolomites 2025 in Selva Gardena/Wolkenstein

According to the organiser, ‘The toughest mountain bike race in the world’:
the HERO Südtirol Dolomites 2025 attracted almost 3,000 participants from 46 countries to the starting line for its 15th edition this year.

Three athletes from the Dynamic Bike Team were determined to take part in this international event: Uli Prast on the short course, David Cench on the medium course and Peter Niederstätter on the marathon course, which also counted towards the UCI Marathon World Cup 2025.
With high summer temperatures and climbs with double-digit gradients, all three had to push themselves to their limits.
Uli beat his time from last year and finished the race in 11th place (Men's Hobby 2). David slipped with his front wheel in a bend after just over 20 km and crashed: with bruises and abrasions, he got back in the saddle and finished the race, coming in 27th (Men's Master 4). Peter started very strongly, but had to shift down a gear halfway through due to stomach pains and finished in 29th place after a gruelling 8½ hours (Men's Master 1).

The winners of the 15th HERO Südtirol Dolomites are Andreas Seewald (GER; 4:29:20 h) and Sandra Mairhofer (ITA; 3:58:51 h).
